MCS Smart Irrigation Software for the Rain8 controllers

Conventional sprinkler control consists of turning on and off sprinkler zones at various times of day and days of the week.

Smart sprinkler control gives the option to use current environmental and weather data automatically down loaded from the web or local weather station. This allows maximum optimization of your irrigation with a water savings in some cases of over 35%.

Think about it, if the forecast for tomorrow calls for 80% chance of rain, do you really want your sprinklers to go on today?

Web provided weather data

Internet-based irrigation control

The advent of web connected irrigation not only provides for monitoring and control of sprinkler systems from remote locations but also allows for receiving real-time weather data from the Internet. Weather data is converted into an evapotranspiration value, or ET as it is commonly called, a measure of how much water has been used by both the plant and the soil combined.

MCS bases its scheduling upon any user- selectable approach from conventional timed control, soil moisture probe measurements, or Evapotranspiration calculations.

Normal watering periods can be altered based upon current conditions such as wind speed, day-of-week, forecasted rainfall, and several other criteria to assure that water is applied only when needed and only when allowed by local regulations.

You can view and control of your situation from anywhere in the world via the internet. You can graphically see your Historical record of soil moisture level history, view your next expected irrigation, and observe the status of the parameters associated with your specific setup.
